Behind Didaque

Our Board Members are responsible for the direction of Didaque Ministries. Funds are distributed by them to designated projects. The Board steers the field staff with their skill, support, and spiritual guidance.

Matt Amundsen

Matt is the Executive Director of Grace Gospel Fellowship. He received a BA from Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His interests include adoption (Matt and his wife have adopted three children), hiking, and traveling with his family. Matt has led many mission trips around the U.S. and to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bolivia.

Miguel Altamirano

Miguel has three undergraduate degrees (from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana, and Seminario de Mexico Lomas Verdes) and an MDiv and DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. Miguel and his wife have three children and three grandchildren. For over twenty years Miguel pastored Monte Horeb Baptist Church, which has spun off numerous mission churches and parachurch ministries. Miguel currently travels throughout Mexico and Southwest United States teaching theology.

Ben Davis

President

Ben has a BA from Western Washington University, is an instrument rated private pilot, and a certified ski instructor. Before founding Didaque Ministries, he co-owned three small companies in Seattle, including Northwest Bio-Recovery, and later worked for an international child-sponsorship organization. Rosamaría Maldonado

Pastor Rosie, as she is called, is the wife of Dr. Saul Maldonado, mother of three married children, and grandmother of six. She is a DMin candidate at Fuller Theological Seminary. For over 35 years, Rosie she has worked as a teacher or principal at nine different schools in the Mexican states of Tabasco and Guerrero, as well as California. Rosie passionately works with a large African-American congregation in South Central Los Angeles.

Gary Cloud

Treasurer

Gary is currently working as a Program Manager for a large US based company managing a multi-million dollar portfolio that spans both the US and India resources in the Technologies division. He is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending as much time as possible with the family taking trips, feeding the homeless, and ministering in many areas throughout his church. He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.

Joann Davis

Joann received a BA in elementary education from the University of Washington and a Standard Teaching Credential for Washington and California. Her interest in children has remained constant throughout teaching positions in Germany and the U.S. and raising three sons with her husband of forty years. Joann currently works as a private tutor with an emphasis in reading. Her pleasure is exploring and enjoying God’s beautiful creation, frequently in Mexico where she visits two grandchildren and missionary friends and family.

Marty Lunde

Chairman

Marty holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, where he did historical work in religious studies. He enjoys traveling, and some of his favorite destinations include Norway, Maui, the UK, Italy, Turkey, South Africa, and, of course, Tijuana, where he’s been nearly a dozen times. Marty’s favorite place to live was the seaside community of Leith, on the northern edge of Edinburgh, Scotland. Marty takes pleasure in spending time with his wife, three children, family, friends, and Lucy, his yellow Labrador retriever.
